Issues of concern BARRINGTON REPUBLICANS PROUDLY SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING: 1. Exploring and adopting creative ways for Town Government to do more with less in order to put an end to or minimize annual tax increases. 2. Making sure that the State fully funds the aid to education formula adopted in the last legislative session. 3. More transparency in municipal employee contract negotiations. 4. Relief from unfunded mandates. 5. Meaningful pension reform. 6. Elimination of the "master lever" from ballots. 7. Use of secret ballots at the Financial Town Meeting when voting on major or controversial issues. 8. Ensuring that the Bristol County Water Authority is acting in the best interests of the ratepayers and will be able to provide affordable high quality water to its customers.
